People often confuse naturopathy with homeopathy. Homeopathy is a part of Naturopathy treatment. Naturopathy is the broader term for natural treatment whereas homeopathy triggers the process of self-healing in the body. Having no side effects, this course of Naturopathy treatments is becoming very popular these days.

Naturopathy includes dietary advice, vitamins, minerals, and herbs. Therefore, naturopath practitioners are known as general practitioners for natural therapies. Whereas, homeopathy includes selecting a specific medicine according to your symptoms and then providing small doses of the medicine to help build the body’s ability to heal itself.

What is naturopathy actually?

Did you know naturopathy has its roots in the 19th-century Scotland, where Thomas Allinson started advocating his “Hygienic Medicine” in the 1880s, promoting a natural diet and exercise combined with avoidance of tobacco and overwork. Later, Benedict Lust, who believed deeply in natural medicine, organized naturopathy as a formal system of healthcare in the 1890s. By the early 1900s, it was a flourishing branch of healthcare.
